CASAREYNA is located in the ruins of ancient houses of 16th, 17th and 18th Centuries, where the local workers used to live and which were surrounded by different factories. In those days a big river, nowadays the 5 de mayo Boulevard, divided the neighborhoods from the Spanish Puebla, setting big differences within the styles of construction, decoration, spaces, flavors and ambiances.

A big idea

The photo gallery in this space shows how was the property before the architectonic rescue in charge of the Architect Ricardo Legorreta, the artist Esteban Chapital and the business owner Angélica Moreno, where preserving the robust walls, generous spaces and style, they printed their unique and personal hallmark, achieving an impeccable fusion between the old neighborhood and the contemporary Mexico, creating a space full of art, details and an incomparable style, where the unique pieces of Talavera de la Reyna, works by renowned Mexican and foreign artists and the Hotel Direction by Rodrigo Álvarez y Jiménez have made of Casareyna a reference in the hotel and gastronomy industry in Mexico and the world.

The Present

Success and entrenchment

CASAREYNA opens to public in May 2007, having at the beginning ten suites, restaurant, bar and the characteristic basic services, the first growth took place in 2012 where the cellar specialized in Mexican wines, a multipurpose room, the Reyna terrace and a new space for sale of Talavera were incorporated. In 2016 the last expansion stage was achieved, which after two years and a half of detailed work between Mr. Esteban Chapital, Angélica Moreno, Rodrigo Álvarez and Marco de la Mora, the new rooms open gradually, rest spaces, guest’s areas, restaurant and bar area and the new services that Casareyna has today, turning it into an icon in Puebla and a reference in the hotel and gastronomy industry in Mexico and the world.

Fifteen years later

In 2022, Casareyna celebrates its 15th birthday, throughout this time it has been transformed and adapted to the contemporary world, always respecting and paying attention to its concept and essence. Nowadays it is an icon of the traditional poblana cuisine and a reference in the hotel industry at national and international level.
